What is PACE? The Professional Academy of Custody Evaluators (PACE) is a private, non-profit corporation and membership organization whose goal is to acknowledge and strengthen the professionally prepared comprehensive custody evaluation e.g., the psychological-legal knowledge base, assessment procedures, courtroom testimony, etc. PACE provides continuing education courses, local and national conferences and conventions, advocacy at university and political levels, and networking from member to member PACE publishes the Register of Custody Evaluators , disseminating information concerning the training and experience of custody evaluators. Only those applicants who satisfy the established criteria will be listed. The Register of Custody Evaluators is available to court systems, law firms, mediators, the public -- anyone seeking a Registered Custody Evaluator (R.C.E.). Also, the PACE staff responds to requests seeking verification of an evaluators' registration status or geographic information about the availability of an R.C.E.
